BJP Commemorates 'Veer Baal Diwas' at a Gurudwara in Cooch Behar.

Cooch Behar, Dec 26 (Siliguri Journal) – BJP members celebrated “Veer Baal Diwas” at a Gurudwara in Cooch Behar. Present at the event were Sukumar Roy, BJP President of Cooch Behar district, MLA Nikhil Ranjan Dey from Uttar Cooch Behar Constituency, and various other BJP leaders.

The day, commemorating two Sikh individuals martyred during the Mughal Empire, was marked by BJP leaders visiting a Gurudwara in Cooch Behar on Tuesday. Their visit aimed at inspecting Gurudwaras requiring urgent restoration and planning renovation works in the coming days as a tribute to the martyred.

During the event, MLA Nikhil Ranjan Dey of Dakshin Cooch Behar Constituency highlighted that, following the Prime Minister’s directive, members of the Sikh Community, including BJP, are observing ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ nationwide. He emphasized the day’s significance, emphasizing its legacy as a tribute to the martyred individuals.
