Body recovered from Fulbari Mahananda Barrage remains unidentified, investigation ongoing

Fulbari, August 16 (Siliguri Journal) – An unidentified body was found at lock gate no. 1 of Fulbari Mahananda Barrage near Siliguri on Friday, causing alarm among locals.

The discovery was made by morning walkers who spotted the body floating in the water and immediately alerted Phansidewa police.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and recovered the body, which was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem. Phansidewa police have launched an investigation to uncover the details behind the incident.
