Cooch Behar, Dec 27 (Siliguri Journal) – A sad incident occurred in Khapaidanga village, Cooch Behar, where a young person named Prosenjit Sarkar was found dead by the riverbanks. The Pundibari police station is handling the situation.
Locals discovered the youth’s body beneath a tree along the riverbank last Wednesday, promptly alerting the police. Upon arrival, the police swiftly recovered the body. According to reports, the previous Tuesday morning saw a disagreement between the youth and his wife, leading her to attempt suicide by consuming poison. Currently, the wife is receiving medical care at a private hospital in Cooch Behar.
After the incident, the youth’s lifeless body has been recovered and sent to Cooch Behar M.J.N. Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the entire incident.
