Rajganj, May 03 (Siliguri Journal) – Deepjoy Sarkar, a student from Rajganj, achieved remarkable results in the Madhyamik examinations despite facing financial challenges. This caught the attention of many. Recently, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy showed his appreciation by honoring Deepjoy for his outstanding performance.
Deepjoy Sarkar, residing in School Para in Sukhani Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block, is the son of Mithun Sarkar and Deepa Sarkar. He attends Rajganj Mahendra Nath High School and excelled with a score of 664 marks in his Madhyamik exams. Deepjoy aspires to become a doctor. However, his father’s prolonged illness and his mother’s occupation as a tailor to support the family highlight their financial struggles.
Last Friday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, along with social worker Arindam Banerjee, paid a visit to Deepjoy’s home. They brought bouquets and sweets to express their admiration. Moreover, MLA Roy pledged financial aid to help Deepjoy pursue his dream of becoming a doctor, offering support to him and his family.
