Jalpaiguri, Nov 23 (Siliguri Journal) – People living in Vivekananda Pally, Jalpaiguri, near the Teesta Rail Bridge are really worried. There’s a group of wild elephants stuck in the middle of the Teesta River, causing a lot of chaos. The folks around here are scared that the elephants might come close to their homes.

On Thursday, people in the area saw a bunch of nine or ten elephants near the Teesta Rail Bridge. It seems like these elephants might have come from the Baikunthapur forest to munch on crops. Quite a crowd gathered to watch the elephants in action.
