Train Collision Claims Lives of Three Elephants in Rajabhatkhawa Forest, Dooars

Officials Probe Incident as Forest Department Takes Charge of Investigation in Rajabhatkhawa Forest Train-Elephant Collision.

Alipurduar, Nov 27 (Siliguri Journal) – Three elephants lost their lives when a train collided with them in the Rajabhatkhawa forest of Dooars.

Reports indicate that on Monday morning, a group of elephants unexpectedly crossed paths with a goods train traveling from Alipurduar to Siliguri. Tragically, three elephants – an adult, a middle-aged one, and a calf – lost their lives in the collision.

Upon learning of the incident, officials from the Forest Department and Railways promptly arrived at the scene, launching an investigation. Presently, forest department personnel are actively examining the details of the entire situation.
