Alipurduar, August 18 (Siliguri Journal) – Residents of the Kalchini area, particularly those living in the tea estates and forest settlements, are facing increasing hardships due to frequent wild elephant attacks.
On Saturday night, a wild elephant entered the Shramik Mohalla of Mechpara Tea Estate, where it initially damaged four houses and a shop along the estate’s main road. The elephant then moved further down the road, causing destruction to three more houses.
