Siliguri, Dec 08 (Siliguri Journal) – Actress Mouni Roy, who starred alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra and is known for her dedication to fitness, was present at an event in Siliguri on Thursday.
Bollywood star Mouni, widely followed online, joined local athletes and fitness enthusiasts at the Siliguri Community Goal Challenge organized by Skechers, highlighting her active involvement in the event.
The three-day event had a mission to promote fitness throughout the region, as participants came together to tackle the ambitious 1,000-kilometer challenge. Sources reveal that Mouni enthusiastically joined to run the final kilometer, adding her support to the cause.
The Bollywood actress shared, “I have been to Siliguri over 100 times in my life. It is so close to my hometown, Cooch Behar. I feel nostalgic whenever I visit this side of Bengal. I am thrilled to be a part of this event to achieve this remarkable feat. I have always been into fitness in any form and I like to encourage everyone to be fit and look after their mental health as well”.
When asked by The Telegraph about exploring more of North Bengal, Mouni mentioned her tight schedule but expressed a desire to visit the beautiful places in the region. She regretfully shared, “I would love to visit the beautiful places across north Bengal, but I have a shooting scheduled tomorrow. I would not be able to even visit Cooch Behar this time. But my brother will be coming here today to meet me today.”
According to sources, Skechers has effectively organized several editions of the Community Goal Challenge in various cities, aiming to promote fitness and enhance engagement across India.
In the fifth edition of the Community Goal, Mouni Roy is affiliated with the brand. This consumer-driven challenge united individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and shared achievement in reaching the collective goal of 1,000 kilometers. The initiative aimed to support the Hope Salugara Social Organization, an NGO based in Siliguri, according to sources.
