Kharibari, Dec 25 (Siliguri Journal) – Three trucks loaded with bamboo and stones were involved in an accident on Batasi’s National Highway in Kharibari. They suffered damage in the mishap.
On Monday morning, a truck carrying stones came to a sudden stop on the road. Subsequently, a bamboo-loaded truck approaching from behind collided with the stationary stone-laden truck. This led to damage to the bamboo truck, trapping the driver inside. Fortunately, the driver was rescued later on.
In a separate incident, a bamboo-loaded truck lost control and collided with a roadside shop. The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Upon receiving the news, Kharibari police station officers promptly arrived at the scene, recovered the vehicles involved, and initiated an investigation.
