Kalimpong, Oct 09 (Siliguri Journal) – After the recent flood in the Teesta River caused considerable damage in Melli, Kalimpong, students are bravely returning to classes in an attempt to bring back a sense of normalcy. Understandably, parents in Kalimpong were initially scared to send their children to school due to the destruction in the area.

Reports indicate that Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Chief Anit Thapa organized a fleet of trucks to transport students to school. Emphasizing ongoing support, he assured that assistance would continue until the situation returned to normal.
