Sikkim, Jun 10 (Siliguri Journal) – Heavy rains triggered a landslide in Sikkim’s Namchi district on Monday morning, killing three people in Yangang. The victims were two men and one woman.
Sources from the Sikkim administration report that heavy rainfall has triggered landslides in multiple areas across the state, causing several houses to collapse. The administration has initiated rescue operations to assist those affected by the disaster.
The landslides have significantly disrupted infrastructure, blocking roads in various locations and completely destroying the bridge connecting Yangang and Ravangla. Communications in the affected areas have also been severely impacted.
