Kalimpong, Oct 10 (Siliguri Journal) – GTA Chief Anit Thapa is actively working to help the areas hit by the Teesta flash flood. He’s been on-site, staying and working in the affected areas. It’s been a few days since the disaster in Sikkim that damaged many homes in Teesta Bazaar, Melli, and nearby areas of Kalimpong.
On Monday, GTA Chief Anit Thapa organized transportation for students to attend school. Besides visiting the area, he stays connected with residents. Reports confirm the removal of soil and debris from houses in Teesta Bazaar has begun, along with road repair. Anit Thapa remains on-site, overseeing operations, visiting relief camps, and addressing the concerns of victims.
Following the incident, GTA Chief Anit Thapa assured residents of rebuilding their damaged houses and is actively involved in ongoing efforts to restore normalcy.
