Bagdogra, Nov 28 (Siliguri Journal) – Thieves Steal Valuables from Bagdogra’s Hathkhola Kali Mandir. In the surprising event at Hathkhola Kali Mandir in Bagdogra, thieves took away gold and silver ornaments from the temple. This incident has created quite a stir in the community.
Reports indicate that on Monday evening, the temple priest secured the gate before leaving after prayers. The following Tuesday morning, locals arriving for worship discovered a broken lock on the temple’s main gate and missing gold and silver ornaments from the idol of goddess Kali. The incident was reported to the police, and the Bagdogra police promptly arrived to investigate the matter.
Residents in Bagdogra expressed concerns about the increasing violence by drug addicts in the area, leading to frequent thefts and robberies. Sanjiv Sinha, a member of the temple committee, highlighted previous thefts at the temple and called for a thorough police investigation, emphasizing the need for the swift arrest of the culprits involved.
