Siliguri, Jan 11 (Siliguri Journal) – A resident of Noida cheated a life insurance fraud of Rs. 1.5 crore through call center. In that incident, he lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police Station in Noida. Four months after the incident, the Noida police arrested the two main pandas of the fraud ring from Siliguri after investigating the complaint.
According to reports four months ago, the Delhi Cyber Crime Police, investigating a fraud case in Noida, came to know that the two main pandas of the gang were hiding in Siliguri’s Champashari area. As soon as the news was received, a police team of Delhi’s Cyber Crime Police raided a hotel in Champashari’s Uppalnagar on Wednesday. The police arrested two main pandas from there.
Along with these two people, three other youths of Siliguri have been arrested by the police. As per reports, One and a half crore rupees were extorted from the resident of Noida in different ways in the name of life insurance. The police had already arrested 7 members of the gang during the investigation. Although the cyber team could not catch the main two pandas. After that, the two main pandas were arrested from Champashari with the help of Pradhan Nagar police station. Cyber team of Delhi Police will take transit remand of the arrested on Thursday.
