One Arrested for Unauthorized Transportation of Sand on Tractor in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, Dec 28 (Siliguri Journal) – The police caught a tractor driver, Dilip Mahanto, from Chanapatti in Atal village, Naxalbari, for taking sand without permission.

Reports say police stopped the sand-loaded vehicle on the road. Investigations found the driver didn’t have proper documents for sand taken from Chenga River banks in Atal.

Following this, the police arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle involved in the unlawful activity. On Thursday, the accused was presented in Siliguri Court for legal proceedings.
