Bagdogra, Apr 05 (Siliguri Journal) – A scary accident happened in Bagdogra on Friday. One person got badly hurt when a car crashed into a pickup truck head-on at Panighata More on AH2, the Asian Highway 2.
Reports say the pickup van, carrying fish from Bihar to Siliguri, crashed into the four-wheeler while heading towards the Panighata More flyover. The person driving the four-wheeler was an experienced army official and got seriously hurt. The pickup van driver ran away after the accident.
The injured driver was taken to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for treatment. Bagdogra police came to the scene after hearing about the accident and used a crane to remove the vehicles. Some locals blamed the injured driver for the accident, but the police are investigating the whole situation.
