Alipurduar, Dec 19 (Siliguri Journal) – Residents were alarmed when an attempted robbery took place at a gold store in Kamakhyaguri, Alipurduar. The thieves tried to loot the store after tying up two civic volunteers. Luckily, the police acted quickly, preventing the robbery.
On Monday night, the owner of a gold store in Kamakhyaguri noticed unusual sounds, suspecting a break-in. Swiftly alerted, the Kamakhyaguri police responded promptly to the report. The robbers, startled by the police’s arrival, reportedly fled the store, thwarted in their attempt to carry out the planned robbery.
District Superintendent of Police Y. Raghuvanshi credited the quick response of the officers for preventing the attempted robbery. The police are now actively investigating the incident to promptly identify the culprits.
