Siliguri, Nov 28 (Siliguri Journal) – Siliguri’s city officials faced a big challenge during their efforts to clear spaces from unauthorized use. Traders at Hawkers’ Corner in Siliguri protested on the streets because an unauthorized pharmacy at Nivedita Market, near Hospital More, was being demolished.

Reports indicate that SMC personnel started dismantling the unauthorized store at the location but were stopped by Hawker’s Corner traders. Subsequently, the traders staged a street demonstration and set up a road blockade. The Byabasayee Samiti stated they weren’t informed about the shop’s demolition and warned of a significant protest if it proceeds.
