Siliguri, Nov 28 (Siliguri Journal) – Members of INTTUC protested today, claiming that the Railway removed vendors and the RPF oppressed them. They insist on bringing back the vendors.
Reports indicate that vendors at NJP Railway Station are facing prolonged oppression by the RPF, and the Railway is reportedly planning to remove several vendors from the platforms. This has led to difficulties for many workers. In response, Siliguri Town Block 3 INTTUC organized a protest rally in front of the ADRM Office, submitting a memorandum to highlight the issue and seek solutions.
INTTUC President Sujoy Sarkar emphasized the need to reinstate platform vendors and put an end to RPF oppression. He warned of potential large-scale protests if their demands were not addressed satisfactorily.
