Despite his visual impairment, Biswadeep Soren navigates from Bidhan Nagar to Siliguri daily, selling incense sticks and highlighting the power of determination and trust.

Siliguri, May 17 (Siliguri Journal) – In an inspiring show of determination, Biswadeep Soren has achieved self-reliance by selling incense sticks, despite being visually impaired. Biswadeep runs his business by navigating the streets of Siliguri, offering his products to passersby.

Despite being visually impaired since childhood, Biswadeep has remained determined in his journey to achieve self-reliance. He enrolled in Bidhan Nagar’s school for the visually impaired at the age of 8, where he completed his education up to the 12th grade.

With a stick in one hand and incense sticks in the other, Biswadeep travels from Bidhan Nagar to Siliguri to run his business. He reportedly sells four dozen incense sticks every day in Siliguri before returning to Bidhan Nagar.

Reflecting on his journey, Biswadeep expressed gratitude for the stick that helps him navigate the path from Bidhan Nagar to Siliguri. When asked about potential exploitation due to his blindness, Biswadeep emphasized his belief in people and the importance of trust in life.
