Arrest Made in Connection to Alleged Sexual Assault on Minor in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, Nov 27 (Siliguri Journal) – In a troubling event in Naxalbari, a young man named Sujoy Barman was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor after forcefully dragging her to his house.

According to reports, the Naxalbari police arrested the accused on Sunday following a complaint from the victim’s family. The family claims that a few days before the incident, the accused teenager took the minor after lunch and subjected her to sexual abuse. They are urging severe punishment for the accused in response to the crime.

The accused is set to appear before the Siliguri Divisional Court on Monday for additional legal proceedings.
