Siliguri, Nov 27 (Siliguri Journal) – In a big win for Bhaktinagar police from Siliguri Metropolitan station, they have successfully arrested the accused manager linked to a major financial fraud at a well-known health clinic in the city. The arrested individual, identified as Sanjiv Dey, hails from Maynaguri and is currently residing on rent in ward number 43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
Reports indicate that Sanjiv Dey held the position of manager at a nursing home in the jurisdiction of Bhakti Nagar police station for the past five years. During this time, it has come to light that he embezzled Rs 50 lakh. It’s noteworthy that Sanjiv was relieved of his duties after the hospital management uncovered the alleged fraud.
On November 23, the hospital administration took decisive action by filing a formal complaint against the manager at the Bhakti Nagar police station. Subsequently, the Bhakti Nagar police arrested the manager on charges of committing a fraud amounting to lakhs of rupees. The accused made an appearance in Jalpaiguri Court on Sunday for further legal proceedings.
