Gajoldoba, Jan 04 (Siliguri Journal) – Excitement stirred as a fire sparked in the dumper truck’s cabin on the flyover close to the recently opened Bhorer Alo bridge in Gajoldoba. Luckily, everyone is safe since the driver and co-driver got out in time, and no injuries have been reported.
Local reports indicate that a sand-loaded dumper truck heading to Ambari from Odlabari caught fire near the mentioned flyover. The blaze was swiftly put out using water from the bridge’s construction tank. Although a Fulbari fire engine arrived later, quick actions by the locals had already managed to bring the situation under control.
Initial speculations point to a potential short circuit as the cause of the incident. However, the exact reason for the fire is yet to be confirmed at the time of this report. The incident led to disruptions in vehicular movement on the bridge. Bhorer Alo Police Station authorities promptly arrived at the scene upon receiving the alert.
