Health Department in sudden anti-tobacco drive across Jalpaiguri town

Jalpaiguri, Jan 11 (Siliguri Journal) – Jalpaiguri District Health Department and Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police conducted a joint operation against the sale of tobacco products in public places on Thursday. On this day, various public places of the city and shops in front of schools and colleges were raided.

As per report, keeping with the COTPA Act, all the shops in front of schools and colleges where tobacco products are sold are checked and all advertisements of tobacco products are removed besides warning the shopkeepers. Awareness campaign is also done among the vendors.
