Personnel for Polls Arrive at Alipurduar DCRC with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs)

63 Companies of Central Forces Deployed for Peaceful Polling in Alipurduar District.

Alipurduar, Apr 18 (Siliguri Journal) – On Thursday morning, officials for the elections reached Alipurduar University DCRC. This is part of the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Tomorrow, Friday, voting will take place in Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and Cooch Behar districts.

Alipurduar district has a total of 1,867 booths, with 1,858 main booths and 9 auxiliary booths. The district boasts a voter count of 1,772,877, comprising 888,798 male voters, 884,015 female voters, and 64 third-gender voters.

Security measures for peaceful polling in the district have been bolstered with the arrival of 63 companies of central forces.
