Siliguri, Dec 01 (Siliguri Journal) – The state government’s Transport Directorate recently arranged a helpful one-day refresher course for motor training school instructors at Dinabandhu Mancha (Tathya Kendra) in Siliguri. Notable senior officials from the transport department also joined in to enhance the learning experience.
Reports indicate that Siliguri hosts a considerable number of motor training schools dedicated to educating individuals on driving. However, with frequent changes in the rules and regulations of the transport department, staying updated has become crucial. To bridge this gap, the transportation department initiated a training program for instructors, aiming to inform the public about the latest laws and protocols. The event received participation from the management and instructors of Siliguri’s Motor Training Schools.
An official from the transport department revealed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is actively endorsing the ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ campaign to reduce road accidents. This initiative has contributed to a noticeable decline in traffic incidents in recent years. With substantial changes in the transport department’s policies and procedures, a program was arranged to raise awareness about the updated driving rules and regulations.
