Siliguri, Mar 25 (Siliguri Journal) – Sikha Moitra, who previously served as the Women’s Leader in the Siliguri Organizational District of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has decided to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC). She has pledged her full support to the District TMC President, Papiya Ghosh.
It’s reported that Sikha Moitra held multiple positions within the BJP and even served as Sabhanetri in 2021.
On Monday, following her joining of the TMC, Sikha Moitra took aim at BJP MP Raju Bista. In response, TMC District President Papiya Ghosh mentioned that Moitra’s membership was in accordance with the instructions of Abhishek Banerjee. She also highlighted Moitra’s decision to join the party was influenced by the development initiatives led by the Chief Minister.
