Jaigaon Police Conduct Anti-Narcotics Raid, Capture Suspect with Banned Cough Syrup

Alipurduar, May 11 (Siliguri Journal) – In a recent development, the Jaigaon police undertook a targeted operation that led to the apprehension of an individual found in possession of cough syrup. The arrested individual has been identified as Pemba Sherpa.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at a residence situated in the Bow Bazar area of Jaigaon on Friday. Subsequently, a substantial quantity of banned cough syrup was discovered during the operation, leading to the arrest of the accused.

Following the arrest, the accused was presented before the Alipurduar court on Saturday. Currently, the case is undergoing further investigation.
