Siliguri, Dec 01 (Siliguri Journal) – In a recent case of deception, Siliguri Women Police Station officials have taken action by arresting a man named Imtiaz Ali from Asraf Nagar. He is accused of engaging in physical relations by falsely promising marriage. The arrest was made under the jurisdiction of Bhakti Nagar police station.
According to information gathered, Imtiaz Ali had romantic feelings for a woman. Unfortunately, he stands accused of drawing her into a romantic situation and tricking her to serve his own selfish motives.
Reportedly, in September, Imtiaz took the woman to a hotel, where he engaged in physical relations, falsely claiming it was in the context of marriage. Subsequently, he gradually distanced himself from her.
On the 28th of last month, the victim lodged a formal complaint at Siliguri Women Police Station. After a comprehensive investigation prompted by the complaint, officials apprehended Imtiaz from the Asraf Nagar area. On Friday, the accused was brought before the Siliguri court. The entire incident is currently under ongoing police investigation.
