Siliguri, Dec 22 (Siliguri Journal) – The government has set aside money for the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) to spruce up Baribhasa Road. SJDA Chairman Sourabh Chakraborty shared this exciting update in a press conference held at Siliguri PWD Inspection Bungalow last Friday.
Speaking to the media, Chairman Sourabh Chakraborty announced that the state government has earmarked Rs 21 crore for the improvement of Siliguri city and its neighboring areas. Additionally, he mentioned a new road project from Jabrabhita underpass in Dabgram-Fulbari Constituency to Bhabesh Petrol Pump, with a dedicated budget of Rs 97 lakh.
Furthermore, numerous roads are set to undergo renovation across different Wards, specifically in Ward No. 36, 39, 40, and 42 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). Chairman Sourabh Chakraborty also mentioned the upcoming official inauguration of several new roads scheduled for the month of January.
