Siliguri, Nov 24 (Siliguri Journal) – Siliguri’s City Government is taking strong action against people building where they shouldn’t. Just now, they started an operation to stop this, and they knocked down a building that wasn’t allowed in Ward 45.
The person in charge reportedly turned a parking area into a business space and rented it out in a multi-story building in Ward No. 45. After getting a complaint, the City Government acted quickly. They brought in bulldozers to remove the unauthorized building and are now looking into the matter.
SMC’s assistant engineer, Brijit Aich, mentioned that the person behind the building originally had permission for a parking lot. Unfortunately, they went beyond that approval, turning it into a store without following the rules.
