SMC Takes Down Unauthorized Construction in Ward No. 36, Siliguri

Siliguri, Dec 01, (Siliguri Journal)- Siliguri’s city officials took action again to stop illegal building work. The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) removed buildings that were not allowed in Shanti Nagar, part of Siliguri’s Ward No. 36.

Allegedly, someone made unauthorized changes to a home, using it for events as well. The Municipal Corporation sent warnings to the owner. When the owner didn’t respond, the Corporation, with the police, removed the front part of the house and the unauthorized additions on top. The Ashighar Outpost police have been on-site since Friday morning.
