Two detained with stolen goods in Siliguri’s Matigara

Matigara Police Swiftly Apprehend Theft Suspects: Accused Duo Nabbed at Indo-Nepal Border, Stolen Goods Recovered, Ongoing Investigation Unveils Details.

Siliguri, Nov 27 (Siliguri Journal) – In a significant development, the Matigara police station’s undercover officers have successfully resolved a theft case within four days. Two individuals, Amal Tamang and Tinku Chhetri, were apprehended with stolen goods in connection to the incident.

On the night of November 23, according to reports, miscreants seized an opportunity presented by an unoccupied residence in the Dookriya Jote area of Salbari, falling within the jurisdiction of the Matigara police station. They made off with two tablets and various other items. The next day, upon the homeowner’s return, the theft was uncovered, leading to the filing of a formal complaint at the Matigara police station.

Acting on the filed complaint, Matigara police initiated an investigation, resulting in the apprehension of the accused duo on Sunday near the Indo-Nepal Border at Panitanki. The police successfully recovered the stolen items from their possession. On Monday, both suspects were presented before the Siliguri Court. Presently, the police are actively pursuing additional investigations into the entire incident.
