Fire Erupts in Mathabhanga Bazaar, Damaging Three Shops

Mathabhanga, May 18 (Siliguri Journal) – A large fire broke out at Ramthenga Bazaar in Mathabhanga Block II, causing major damage to three shops. According to reports, locals first noticed the blaze on Friday night and immediately alerted the fire department.

Upon receiving the alert, a fire engine quickly arrived at the scene, followed by a second vehicle to help control the blaze. Despite their efforts, a clothing shop and a cosmetic shop were completely destroyed, while another shop sustained severe damage.

Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit might have triggered the fire. The police are currently investigating to determine the exact cause of the incident.
